To The Moon is a yearly festival of creativity and society, deeply rooted in camaraderie, flames, and awe. This occasion will be assembled for and by you, as your innovative spirit, passion and boundless energy are the ingredients that make it a reality. One may camp with likeminded individuals in activity-driven theme camps or participate as an individual, choosing to stay in open camping. Regardless where you lay your head, there will be music, artistry, and a fiery jamboree. Like other regional Burning Man Events, To The Moon operates in agreement with the 10 Principles.

Waivers
Waivers are built into digital ticket sales. The signing of the waivers is kept in our system, which expedites the entry process. After people set up their Volunteeripate accounts, the first step of acquiring a ticket is to sign the waiver. Minor waivers will be signed at gate with printed waivers. Minors are registered under their parent/guardian's profile on Volunteeripate.

We have a select few hardship tickets for those in particularly difficult circumstances. If you are interested in a hardship ticket, please fill out the pickle ticket application. If selected, we will issue a ticket code to recipients that can be used during open ticket sales.

What is Volunteeripate?
Volunteeripate is a ticketing platform that integrates ticket purchase, ticket transfer, volunteer sign-ups, and waivers. It was created by a burner -for burns- so it is tailored specifically to our needs.
How do I navigate this system?
For starters, you create a free profile on Volunteeripate with your legal name and then can purchase/obtain/have a ticket for To the Moon event. Volunteer shift sign up and waivers are also located in the system. This means that each ticket is connected to a specific participant and the "paperwork" is already completed when you arrive.
Why must tickets be purchased or transferred in this system?
To protect YOU.
For example, tickets are sold out but you've found someone who is offering to sell theirs. If they offer to sell you a “paper QR code” of their ticket, you can know it is a scam right away. Legitimate transfers can only happen in Volunteeripate.
What is the step-by-step process of ticket transfer?
A buyer and seller find one another and agree to the transfer/sale/gift/etc.
The seller will initiate the ticket transfer by going to “Ticket Transfer” from the drop-down menu, then assigning the ticket to a new email address. The seller should transfer the ticket to the buyer before payment.
The buyer/receiver will have 72 hours to accept the ticket transfer, either from the email invitation or by logging into their Volunteeripate account and accepting the offer.
After accepting the transfer, the buyer should pay the seller the agreed amount (no more than face value for the ticket).
Once accepted, the transferred ticket may not be re-transferred for 48 hours.
If for some reason the buyer does not follow through with payment, the seller can contact us at connect@tothemoonburn.com to cancel the ticket transfer.
If the ticket offer is not accepted by the buyer/receiver, the ticket will revert back to the seller after 72 hours.
What do I need to bring to the gate?
Bring to the gate your ID and your QR code (either from the email verifying your ticket purchase or from “Your Account” on the Menu in Volunteeripate), it will take the gate volunteer to your Volunteeripate profile where they will verify that you are ticketed and have signed your waiver before checking you in. The name on your ID MUST MATCH the name on your profile.
I want to purchase tickets for myself and others. How does that work?
You will still be able to purchase up to 4 adult tickets in one transaction. All ticket transfers must be processed through Volunteeripate. See instructions for ticket transfer above.
How do I register minors?
During the checkout process, you will be given the opportunity to register minors under your profile and request kids tickets. Once registration is complete, you will be able to share responsibility for your minors with another parent or guardian by connecting the kids to both profiles.
